Okonomiyaki is a kind of traditional Japanese food. The name is derived from the word ‘okonomi’, means what you like or what you want, and ‘yaki’ means grilled or cooked. It is a savoury dish that is a bit more like a pancake or pizza and it made with flour, eggs, cabbage, pork, shrimp or other seafood, and topped with a variety of condiments like sweet sauce, mayonnaise, dried seaweed and fish flakes. In some Japanese restaurants, customers cook their own Okonomiyaki on the iron table.
